The Beast of Sugar Flat Road
Overview
In 1989, this mysterious creature (often said to be a sasquatch) was struck down by a driver in Lebanon. Tennessee. The Beast is said to be seven feet tall, with a thick white coat of matted fur. Though the driver tried to hide the body in a panic, he returned the next morning to try and examine this unexplainable phenomena, and took the Beast's head as something of a trophy. Ever since, the Beast's head has resurfaced on display every few years, seemingly sold from owner to owner.
Reported Characteristics
The Beast is said to have most closely resembled a sasquatch, but with distinctive pale fur, which may indicate it was migrating and far from its native habitat. The remains seen on display also have blue skin, although it is unknown if this is natural or a result of flawed taxidermy.
Geographic Range
The initial encounter with the Beast took place on the back roads near downtown Lebanon. Given it is the sole encounter of its specific kind, it is unclear where else similar creatures may be spotted.
Assessment
In the years since the Beast's death, its remains have changed hands many times, often disappearing for decades before resurfacing. The Beast's head has been spotted all over middle Tennessee, on display at antique shops and museums. Most recently, it was found in Chattanooga, but as of this writing, the remains of the Beast have once again vanished, with only second-hand recreations available for public viewing.
